Today is Piano Day, an initiative by German pianist Nils Frahm, is a global celebration of all things piano and is celebrated annually on the 29th of March – and what better way to celebrate than with a release from the brilliant pianist WOJTEK?
WOJTEK, born in Poland but now based in Berlin, is a self-taught Pianist, composer, and environmental activist who combines classical compositions with modern sampled textures.
His last album ’Atmosphere’ was previously available on Tangy Market with a one year investment period and increased with a whooping +274.23%!
Now we’re giving you another opportunity to invest in beautiful piano music as we release a selection of tracks by WOJTEK from both ’Atmosphere’ and ’Instinct’, as well as ’Moments’! So keep a look out on the market this week so you don’t miss the chance to be a part of this Piano Day special!
About WOJTEK
The music is characterized by a sense of urgency and forward motion, while still letting the compositions breathe.
While the album ’Instinct’ from 2016 and the 2018 single ’Moments’ are centered around the piano, 2020’s ’Atmosphere’ focused more on electronic and dance-oriented sounds. Aiming to make music with minimal impact on the climate, ’Atmosphere’ was produced and recorded completely carbon neutrally!
WOJTEK has built a position in his home country of Poland that has put him in headlining slots at festivals, and is currently preparing a live set to tour Germany and Poland.
