Where Have the Summer Anthems Gone?
Now that summer is over and autumn is here — have you thought about which songs truly defined the summer of 2025? According to The Guardian, this was a record-breaking season with fewer new hits than ever before on the U.S. Billboard charts. Music journalist Andres Lokko explains to Sveriges Radio that the digital landscape has replaced traditional summer anthems with “thousands of micro-hits,” making summer hits more personal and fragmented across age groups and audiences. Still, not everyone agrees that the era of the summer hit is gone. As Sveriges Radio writes, P3’s music editor Mari Hesthammer crowned “Tusen spänn” by Tjuvjakt and Fanny Avonne as this year’s Swedish summer anthem — a verdict backed by Spotify’s summer summary, where the track topped the list of the most-streamed songs in Sweden during the summer.

Martin Luuk’s Acclaimed Autobiography and His Hot Blondino
Comedian, screenwriter, and actor Martin Luuk has received widespread praise for his recently released autobiography “Självbiografi. 1984–2001” which also takes center stage at an intimate evening in Stockholm at Rönnells Antikvariat on December 10, where Martin Luuk discusses his new autobiography in conversation with Kristian Luuk, Andres Lokko, and Johanna Swanberg. The event is free to attend and offers a chance to have your holiday gifts signed afterward.
If you can’t make it, you can still tune in to P1 Kultur Reportage, where Kulturredaktionens Jenny Teleman met Martin Luuk to talk about the autobiography and to play some drums – on meat.
Beyond his celebrated work in comedy and television, Luuk is also the lyricist behind the avant-garde pop project Hot Blondino, known for its sharp humor and cult-like artistic edge. Their track “Paradise Hotel” — a playful yet clever take on reality-TV culture — is available for investment on Tangy Market. Investors can currently purchase shares starting at €0.5, with the investment period open until February 2027.
🎧 Listen to Hot Blondino on Spotify and give their songs the revival they deserve.
